Here’s something I only worked out years later.

Every time one of my businesses was struggling, I made it worse by doing one thing:

Opening my phone.

Scrolling through everyone else winning while I was quietly losing.

Watching people my age hit milestones I wasn’t anywhere near.

And every time I did it, I felt further behind. Less motivated. More convinced I was the only one not figuring it out.

What I didn’t understand back then is that your mind is drawn to other people’s success like a magnet.

It’s addictive.

And it’s one of the fastest ways to kill your own drive - because you’re measuring your behind-the-scenes against everyone else’s highlight reel.

The truth I wish I’d known sooner?

When things aren’t working, that’s exactly when you need to look up from the screen and back at your own lane.

Nobody’s posting the failures.

Everyone’s struggling with something you can’t see.

So stop comparing your chapter one to someone else’s chapter twenty.
