Kennedi Reece is shutting down the aging critics! After Jasmine Guy faced harsh comments about her appearance as Whitley in Netflix’s A Different World sequel, her costar told Baller Alert that aging is a beautiful sign of wisdom and should be respected, especially for women. She also explained why representation matters so much for Black girls in the beauty industry. Do you agree that aging is beautiful? 💕

I keep walking through our new home and stopping in the middle of rooms just to feel it 🤍

Not to plan what goes where or to think about paint colours or to mentally arrange the furniture. Just to feel what it is going to hold 🥺

Because this is not just a house. This is the home our daughter is going to grow up in. The walls that are going to witness her first morning, her first steps, her first everything. The space that is going to know her completely from the very beginning.

I think about the Sunday mornings that are going to happen in this home.

The Christmases and the birthdays and the ordinary Tuesday evenings that are going to become the memories we look back on for the rest of our lives 🥺

The sound of her laugh filling these rooms 🤍

Richard and I watching her discover the world from these walls.

And after 14 and a half years of hoping and waiting and trusting, the fact that all of that is coming, in this home, in this life we have built together, is something I genuinely cannot put into words 🥺

We have moved quite a few times over the years and every time we have said we will know when we find the right one.

We knew.
This is it.
Our home. Our chapter. Our family 🏡

Baby girl, we are getting everything ready for you 😭🎀

HR Ko Reply Dene Se Pehle Yeh Dekho

Your offer letter decides more than just your salary. A few lines can affect your take-home pay, notice period and future career.
Before signing, check these 3 things:
1. Monthly In-Hand Salary
Don’t judge an offer by CTC alone. Ask HR for a detailed monthly salary breakup, including deductions, variable pay and employer contributions.
2. Notice Period Clause
Check the notice period for both you and the company. If the terms are different, ask HR to clarify them in writing before signing.
3. Job Role and Responsibilities
Make sure your designation and responsibilities match what was discussed during the interview. Get any important promises confirmed in the offer letter.
Bonus tip: Read the service bond carefully. Don’t assume every bond is automatically invalid in India. Enforceability depends on its terms and applicable law.
FAQ
Q. Is CTC the same as in-hand salary?
No. CTC may include employer contributions, bonuses, benefits and other components that aren’t part of your monthly take-home pay.
Q. Can I negotiate my notice period before joining?
Yes. You can request changes and get the final agreed terms documented before signing.
Q. What if my offer letter mentions a different role?
Ask HR to correct the designation and responsibilities in writing before accepting.
Q. Are employment bonds illegal in India?
Not automatically. Their enforceability depends on the specific agreement and applicable law.
Comment “HR” and I’ll share the email template you can use to reply to HR.
