Mema is home with Jesus!

I am overwhelmed and blessed to say my Mema, at 102, went home to Jesus this weekend.

She’s always been my favorite person and loved me unconditionally. She’s been at every dance recital, graduation, soccer game, and all the events my whole life. She’s made me and my dolls dresses, she made me paintings, she played games with us, she bought me Bibles and all sorts of books, and she always was intentional to keep up with my life. When I brought Tyler for the first time to meet her, she fell in love with him, which made it all the sweeter. I often joked with Mema that Tyler had become her favorite, which always made her smile.

While I am sad that I won’t be able to visit her or call her on earth anymore, I am REJOICING that my Mema is reunited with her husband, her family, and especially her daughter. I can only smile when I think of my Maga welcoming her into heaven, that reunion must have been amazing! My Mema is FINALLY doing what she always wanted, standing in the presence of Jesus.

My Mema loved Jesus and taught us to love Him too. She would tell us of His love for us and how He died on the cross for us to live forever in Heaven blameless. I hope that just as she shared the gospel with her life, I can learn from her and live like that too. I love you Mema, I will see you soon 🤍
