Nothing needs forcing. Ambergris already knows saffron; musk has met them both before. Nature does not require an introduction to itself it simply recognises what it is and settles.

This is only the beginning: the foundation of a ghaliya. What follows happens slowly, in the dark, unwitnessed. I wait. In time, three will answer as one.
