A composition is not designed. It is discovered through intention, material, and patience. by @saadoudworks
"What begins in silence arrives with presence" by @saadoudworks
There are two ways to attain an oud oil. You commission its birth from wood selection to final cut, every decision yours. Or you seek it out finding what a master distiller has already brought into the world and deciding whether it belongs. At SOL, we walk both paths. The standard never changes. by @saadoudworks
I discovered Ghaliya Classique through @seekersscent and bought it blind. What arrived was far more challenging than a conventional luxury perfume, and far more memorable. I love its persistent rose, the controlled animalic character and the confidence of its presence. This isn't perfume, it's a piece of art. @saadoudworks by @saadoudworks

Revisiting it has been quite the revelation! Aromatic lavender meets earthy oakmoss, smoky leather, rich oud and animalic warmth. Bold, rugged and unapologetically old-school. Quite the turnaround! π—šπ—¨π—Ÿπ—π—”π—₯ A wonderfully uplifting rose composition. Dewy, green and spicy, with gentle smokiness weaving through the florals. No single rose dominates, creating a beautifully balanced impression. Fairly linear, gradually settling into an earthy character without the usual jammy sweetness. π—šπ—›π—”π—Ÿπ—œπ—¬π—” π—–π—Ÿπ—”π—¦π—¦π—œπ—€π—¨π—˜ Inherently dry, with musk, amber and spice at its heart. Subtle florals complement leathery, slightly hay-like nuances, creating an intriguing interplay of warmth, earthiness and dryness. A distinctive interpretation of the traditional ghaliya. π—¦π—”π—‘π—§π—”π—Ÿ π—¦π—’π—Ÿ A beautiful exploration of four distinct sandalwoods, bringing together creamy, buttery richness and warm, aromatic woods. Cardamom adds a lively spiciness, while delicate florals and balsamic undertones lend softness and depth. Wonderfully textured, with the natural beauty of sandalwood taking centre stage. 𝗔 π—ͺ𝗒π—₯𝗗 𝗒𝗑 𝗦𝗔𝗔𝗗'𝗦 π—ͺ𝗒π—₯π—ž What I appreciate most is how personal Saad's creations feel. Every composition has a story, shaped by his passion for exceptional materials, memories and inspiration. There's a sincerity and individuality to his work that goes beyond simply creating another perfume. #SaadOudworks #ArtisanalPerfumery #NaturalPerfumery #OudPerfume #FragranceReview by @saadoudworks
Ghaliya Classique Al-Kindi wrote the formulas down in the ninth century because he expected them to be used. He was not preserving a heritage. He was writing for a craft that was alive, and he took its aliveness for granted. Going back to basics is not a modest ambition. It removes every place to hide. Luxury in its ultimate formβ€”Saad Oudworks Lab. Two exceptional creations. Santal Sol It opens with rich, silky aged Mysore sandalwoodβ€”warm and airy, with a faint creamy nuanceβ€”accompanied by elegant jasmine lending a sweet, bubblegum-like facet, while iris adds a soft powdery texture, as smooth as satin. This fragrance stands as a benchmark for luxury sandalwood compositions, perfectly capturing the character of Mysore sandalwood and its delightful pairing with jasmine and iris. Ghaliya Classique A classic-style Ghaliya fragranceβ€”wild and intensely rich. From the opening, one senses high-quality aged oud: no muddled woody notes, only resinous honeyed sweetness and a subtle, regionally distinctive hint of barnyard and hay, blended with the complex sweetness of various roses and premium saffron. Both fragrances have arrived in store. You are welcome to come and experience them. by @saadoudworks
SANTAL SOL For a thousand years, sandalwood oil was the vessel for everyone else's beauty. Never once the subject. This once, the one who carries everything would be the one who is carried. Available at www.saadoudworks.com [SOLD OUT] by @saadoudworks
The finest things in nature are rarely born from perfection. They emerge from pressure. From age. From decay. From patience. A tree is wounded and becomes oud. A forest floor becomes oakmoss. The ocean transforms what it cannot keep into ambergris. Beauty is not the absence of struggle. Beauty is what remains after it. Oud Chypre explores that idea through scent. Coming Soon. [SOLD OUT] Saadoudworks.com by @saadoudworks
Three ouds sourced from three distinct regions, grounded in old-world oakmoss and lifted by grey ambergris aged in the Atlantic. A sharp green nerve runs through the opening. The base carries something raw and animalic, but we will leave that between us and the formula book. 06/26 by @saadoudworks
Three gifts, three origins: the sea, the field, the mountain. Each arrived here by its own long road, none of them hurried. Nothing needs forcing. Ambergris already knows saffron; musk has met them both before. Nature does not require an introduction to itself it simply recognises what it is and settles. This is only the beginning: the foundation of a ghaliya. What follows happens slowly, in the dark, unwitnessed. I wait. In time, three will answer as one. #oudaddict #musk #ambergris by @saadoudworks
Madagascan vanilla caviar [only beans]. Weighed to twenty percent. Drowned in ethanol and sealed. Vanilla is the material everyone thinks they know. Forget the bakery. In a tincture it comes out darker than that smoky, tobacco-edged, a little boozy, with something almost animalic underneath the sweetness. The bean did most of the work before it reached me. Months of sun and sweating on the coast, enzymes breaking down inside the pod, building the vanillin that wasn't there when it was picked. I'm only carrying it across into solvent. And vanillin is the least of it. Two hundred and more compounds in that pod, drawn out at different rates. So the tincture is never one thing. It arrives in sequence, and it takes months, not weeks. That's the part I keep coming back to. You set the conditions, then you have no further say. Rare material, simple method, and the patience to stay out of its way. #oud #artisian #perfumery #tincture by @saadoudworks
