What to do when you have approximately two free hours in Portland? That’s a no-brainer! I’ve now been to the largest bookstore in the US!
Powell’s wasn’t the focus of our trip, but it certainly fit the theme! 16 of us friends toured the Willamette Valley this month, sampling local wine, beer, and whisky. We threw in a couple of hikes, daily Mass, a Benedictine Abbey with a rare books tour, and some awesome music to round things out! Scroll to the end for a rare photo of my cute hubby. We are celebrating twenty years married this year!

Looks like an amazing trip! I’m in the big city of Philadelphia, enjoying the big city. Very different than home!

Was #15 the grotto in Portland? It’s such a lovely and peaceful place. And Powell’s is an experience for sure! Hope you enjoyed Oregon. I lived there the first 22 years of my life.
