The secret to FLUFFY eggs! 🥚✨ Making traditional Japanese "Oyakodon" 💡 Did you know? “oya”means Parent (Chicken) and “ko”means Child (Egg) in Japanese! 🐔🥚 It’s a beloved comfort food in Japan! Save this for your next dinner! 📌 Recipe (my grandma told me👵) 🥣 Ingredients (for 2-3 servings): Chicken thigh (bite-sized) 1 Onion (sliced) 3 Eggs Hot white rice 🍚 Green onions (for topping) ✨ The Sweet Broth (Soup): Water: about 100ml Dashi (Japanese soup stock / Pure Umami!): 5g Sugar: 1 tbsp Mirin (Sweet cooking rice wine): 2 tbsp Sake (Japanese cooking wine): 2 tbsp Soy sauce: 4-5 tbsp (Note: I tasted it while cooking and it was a bit bland, so I added a pinch of salt and a little more sake! Adjust to your liking 🧂) It’s so juicy and incredibly delicious. Would you try making Oyakodon at home? Let me know in the comments! 👇 On this account, I share the REAL life in Japan 🇯🇵 I'm just a normal Japanese woman showing you my honest, unpolished daily life, culture, and reality—not just the perfect tourist spots!
