We had a lucky find with some chanterelles in the backyard this week and I was in the mood for tomato toast. Not pictured is a smoked paneer with hot honey eggplant and a pistachio crumble dish, that I am going to workshop and share with you all soon.

Ahead of Diwali, the Delhi Government has intensified its crackdown on suspected food adulteration. During a major operation at Mori Gate’s Khoya Market, the Food Safety Department seized and destroyed around 7,000 kg of unhygienic and foul-smelling khoya. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta personally visited the market to inspect the operation and directed officials to ensure that unsafe food products did not reach consumers. During the inspection, officials collected 44 food samples and tested them using a mobile testing facility. 35 of the 44 samples failed preliminary tests, with initial findings indicating the possible presence of milk powder, vanaspati (vegetable fat) and binding substances. The samples have been sent for further laboratory testing. With this latest action, the total quantity of khoya destroyed during the festive-season crackdown has reached 10,660 kg
