Oraan, Pakistan’s leading women-focused fintech platform, has secured fresh funding from Epic Angels, the world’s largest all-female investor collective. Existing investors Wavemaker and i2i Ventures also participated in the round, reaffirming their confidence in Oraan’s long-term vision and growth.
The new investment will support the expansion of Oraan’s gold savings product, strengthen its gold inventory, and accelerate its regional growth through technology licensing partnerships.
Founded in 2018 by Halima Iqbal and Farwah Tapal, Oraan was established to address the financial exclusion of women by digitising traditional community savings circles, commonly known as committees or ROSCAs. The platform has since evolved into a trusted financial ecosystem offering savings, credit and digital gold solutions tailored to the needs of Pakistani women.
Oraan’s gold savings product, launched in late 2025, has witnessed remarkable growth, enabling users to purchase fractional gold through price-locked monthly instalments. The company has also signed its first international technology licensing agreement, extending its platform to new regional markets and positioning its technology as scalable financial infrastructure.
Epic Angels first invested in Oraan in 2021, and its renewed investment reflects continued confidence in the company’s leadership, impact and business model. The participation of returning investors WaveMaker and i2i Ventures further reinforces Oraan’s strong market position and long-term growth potential.
Commenting on the milestone, Co-founder and CEO Halima Iqbal said that women in Pakistan were never waiting for financial products, but for a financial system that reflected the way they already save and manage money.
With fresh capital, a rapidly expanding product portfolio and growing international opportunities, Oraan is well positioned to accelerate its mission of making savings, credit and wealth-building solutions more accessible to millions of women across Pakistan and beyond.
