Traditionally crazy quilts used fabrics like silk and velvet and the feather stitch was often used as away to conceal and reinforce the raw edges. It was also used because it’s a lovely decorative stitch. I had a lot of remnants and I wanted to use the pieces as is and not trim them too much. The results is an asymmetrical freeform mosaic like pattern.
I have a full tutorial on how I created the pattern and the construction of the pouch on my YouTube channel. I feel like it’s a good place for me to go into more detail. I hope you find the tutorial helpful and that you enjoy making this little project😄🧡👍🏼

🍜✨ Visited Banana Tree for some Pan-Asian food and it definitely did NOT disappoint! 😍

We kicked things off with the prawns and chicken skewers – absolutely amazing! The sauces took them to a whole new level. 🤤

The Chicken Pad Thai was a solid 10/10 – full of flavour and absolutely delicious! 🍜

And the Banana Tree Curry Rice was something else entirely! So different from any other curry I’ve tried, with a beautiful fresh taste of coconut and lemon. 🥥🍋

The lychee mocktails were very refreshing and full of flavour ❤️
Safe to say, this one is definitely worth a visit! Already craving a return trip! ❤️
