“You can take us out of Africa, but you can’t take Africa out of us.” 🇱🇷🇺🇸

In honor of Liberia’s 179th Independence, I had the privilege of addressing our community here in Philadelphia as Youth Chair of Youth of LAP. From honoring our founders’ vision of scholars, entrepreneurs, and builders — to standing rooted in our identity here in Africatown — my message was clear: no backlash, no critique, and no vandalism can erase who we are or what we’ve built.

To my fellow young Liberians: continue your education. Get your degrees, your licenses, your LLCs. Stack your mokofee. Let’s be the Liberators and Freedom Fighters our forefathers and mothers envisioned.

Grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with me and Youth of LAP.

Onward, together.
