3:32:19 for the Chicago Marathon!

This was my 3rd World Major and 8th 26.2 to date! Tough day, not gonna lie, but still had an absolute blast competing. The crowds were electric and the scenery really carried me throughout the race. Although recovery remains in play for me, and it continues to be a humbling experience, I’ll never shy away from a challenge. Thank you to the entire @on team for all the support and energy this year. Couldn’t have done it without you! Onto the next one ♥️

The days are finding their rhythm again. Work calls, duties return, the world moves on.

But something in me has changed forever. My mother's absence lives in the quiet moments, in the little things, in the spaces she once filled.

Nothing stays the same. That is the truth of life. We lose, we grieve, we heal and we learn to carry what we have lost as we walk forward.

Moving on is not leaving her behind. It is carrying her with me and finding the strength to live the life she gave me.

Life goes on. And so must I.

I’ve had a late call-up to the World Championships 🥹💛💚

After a year that has sometimes left me feeling profoundly let down and lost despite my best efforts, this opportunity means so much to me. For that, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little more nervous than usual🥹. I’ve always found comfort in meticulous preparation, so finding out so late means I haven’t quite been afforded the luxury of preparing with the specificity I usually demand of myself.

But over the past two seasons, I’ve raced more track than ever before, travelling across the world chasing the highest level races, collecting experiences to inform better tactics and become a more complete rider. There is something quite poignant about pursuing an art with no promise that it will necessarily amount to anything, but out of love for what you do ❤️

So although the road here has looked very unexpected, I don’t think it’s been by accident. Luckily I’ve also always been pretty good at doing my homework at the last minute 😉

Omnium, scratch race, team pursuit and Madison will also be my biggest world champs schedule to date. Four opportunities to join a great team and make the most of a chance I’m incredibly grateful to have. 💛💚😊
