I’m living in another state, away never thought I’d have to make a post like this, but here we are.
I’m living in another state, away from my hometown, and today I was judged for what I was wearing inside my own apartment.
I was in my own kitchen, cooking in a sleeveless top, when an aunty commented that my clothes were “inappropriate” and that “everything is showing.”
Since when do women have to justify what they wear in the privacy of their own home? Am I not allowed to be comfortable in my own space?
Respecting someone’s personal boundaries costs nothing. What I choose to wear in my own apartment is my decision, and no one has the right to shame me for it.
I’m sharing this because many women experience this kind of unnecessary judgment. We deserve to feel comfortable, safe, and free in our own homes.
