25 days agoMy kiddo just graduated from a small choice high school (free) in western washington that has a very active ASL culture. Even if you choose not to take the ASL classes as your required language to graduate, so many students do that ASL has permeated throughout the culture of the school so almost everyone knows it to some degree. They offer college credit ASL classes at the high school as well. Furthermore, there are nearby colleges and medical programs that support deaf culture. For example, kiddo is going to college to be an audiologist at Western WA University and their program is pretty well-known and respected.
