WALK MECHANICS vs RUN MECHANICS Most new runners start with walk-based mechanics, and that’s brilliant. It means you’ve taken the first step. Walk-based running: a long push off the back foot, a forward reach, and landing out in front. Often called “swing and drop.” It’s completely normal and it’s your foundation. This I call scissor running. Developed run mechanics: the foot lands under the body, the shin is vertical, the pelvis stays level, and the glutes and hamstrings drive. You load and release like a spring, with short ground contact and an elastic return. We move in a continuous loop. Top video = walk-based running Bottom video = developed run mechanics Walk mechanics is moving. Run mechanics unlocks running performance. Ready for the next step to start the journey to performance running? Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you the details 👇 Here’s a secret. There’s two things you need to develop - how you move and getting free speed. I’ll tell you how 🤫. #RunTechniqueCoach #InstaRunners #RunnersOfInstagram
