INDIFEST

We at @indifest_mn are honored to have @nighttrainmongolia perform at INDIFEST 2026. As one of Mongolia’s first alternative rock and indie bands, active since 2001, it’s only right that Night Train headline this year’s festival! 🦖

In 2004, the band released “Blue Bird”- an album that adapted British pop aesthetics and American nu-metal sounds for the Mongolian scene while keeping the lyrics in Mongolian. 🎸

The influence of Blue Bird can still be felt today: new bands continue to perform songs from the album in their own interpretations, and Night Train’s audience is noticeably getting younger, as new generations of Mongolia’s alternative music fans keep discovering the record and the band’s legacy.

In July 2026, the band headlined Playtime Festival 2026,
performing alongside internationally acclaimed artists
including Stereolab, Kings of Convenience, Molchat Doma, DIIV, and HYUKOH.
