Our content creators and influencers are one of the d¥mbest. They buy Benz and queue for Visas instead of buying a 2nd citizenship — Fekomi Fekomi has criticised content creators, brand influencers and self-described self-made CEOs for prioritising luxury cars, designer clothes and champagne over investments that could improve their financial security and international mobility. Speaking in a video circulating online, he questioned why influencers spend their first major earnings on expensive vehicles instead of obtaining a second passport or building businesses. “One of the dumbest people I have seen in real life is some of these content creators and brand influencers. You guys have been creating content for so long, you’ve made a lot of dollars. The first money you will make, you go and be buying Benz. What are you using Benz to do?” he asked. He also questioned why some wealthy Nigerians own several expensive cars but still have to apply for visas when travelling abroad. “You will park like five, six cars inside your compound, five, six Benz worth 50, 300, 400 million naira, but you are still going to apply for visa. You still want to go to ordinary Dubai, you are going to queue for visa with Nigeria passport. What are you using your money to do? Who is supposed to buy a second citizenship first if not you?” Fekomi said. He advised high-earning individuals to consider obtaining a second passport or investing in businesses capable of generating enough money to afford one. “The first thing you should — once you make 10, 20, 300 million, get a second passport, keep it somewhere, you understand? Or you get a business that can earn you the money to afford that kind of passport,” he added. Fekomi further criticised those who spend heavily on luxury fashion and champagne to impress others. “But no, you want to buy Benz. You use your money, you go and use your money to be buying all this unnecessary expensive wears because you want to prove a point, be popping champagne everywhere. Don’t worry, don’t worry,” he said. His remarks have sparked discussions about whether wealthy individuals should prioritise luxury purchases or long-term investments.
let’s do this again.. #homecooking
Squatober Day 19 for Monday Oct 19. A training session that you should be very familiar with. Please note that part one is 85% for singles, same two minute rest, and part two is 80% for doubles. The cardio session is different so pay attention. Since Friday everyone seems to be very intrigued by comparing their score to other people’s score. With this many people involved, you have to realize there are very different levels of lifting experience doing this. This would be like going into a golf tournament and you have beginners/novice/semipro/and pros all competing in the same tournament. There’s going to be a vast difference in scores. But…. The most important comparison now is that you are competing against YOUR Friday score. YOU 🆚 the previous YOU from three days ago. OK, here’s where I’m going to try to help some folks out to get a better score. There’s some definite improvement areas in the set up and re-rack of your set. Please remember that the time is also running while you are unracking, setting up your stance, performing your set, and re-racking the bar. Hopefully you have some video of yourself and you can see if there are some areas that you can improve efficiency. No I am not advocating to be fast and reckless. Some folks are taking several steps back away from the rack before they squat. This is unnecessary and takes more time. Learn to unrack, take your one step back with each foot, brace and go. On the set of two reps, try to minimize the amount of time between reps one and two. Work to quickly get back into that second rep. Work on having a easy counting system so you are not having to move away from the bar very far to track your sets. Have things set up right by the rack so you can just stay at the work spot and track efficiently. The @sorinex_squatober IG account posted a great example yesterday of Nick Coleman who is very efficient and uses a simple tracking system to achieve some great results. Watch the unrack, the set up, the reps, and the rerack. Super effective and efficient. Are you chasing Comfort or Discomfort? Only you know the answer. @penandpaperstrengthapp #squstober #pressurecooker
