With submissions now open for the Busan International AI Film Festival (BIAIF) 2026, there's no better time to discover the story behind one of Korea's AI filmmaking pioneers.
As an Honorary Reporter, I had the opportunity of interviewing Korean filmmaker Kim Il-dong, the director and creative force behind "I'm PoPo", widely recognized as Korea's first feature-length film created entirely with artificial intelligence.
