Friends of the Northern Rivers/Bundjalung!

Our friend @solomnkhn is headed back to support a powerful Palestinian led project in Occupied Palestine to reforest a region devastated and this time he’d love to bring a seasoned soil biologist along but needs funds for the extra ticket so we came up with the idea to have a fundraising dinner.

It’s happening this Sunday 5pm in Brunswick heads.

Tickets are $50-99 (sliding scale donation) and dinner is going to be a Palestinian inspired feast with @kempy_154 serenading alongside.

There will also be a talk about the project on the night but a bit about it here - Juthour — “roots” — is a Palestinian family’s 200-year commitment to a degraded mountain outside Ramallah: regenerating it into a living tree museum, a nature preserve, and an ecological education centre known as Mashjar Juthour. Thirteen years of tending have already coaxed back over 100 century-old olive trees, indigenous Mediterranean flora, a five-pond water system fed by captured rainwater, and stone terraces rebuilt by hand.

Dinner and a show out already costs $50-$100 but do it this way and you can support the rebuilding of cultures and ecosystems in one of the places that need it most.

Tix super limited. Via qr or comment ‘I’m keen’ and I’ll dm you link. Will be a spesh night 🍉🫶
