📚 Book Haul 📚

I only bought one book in July, but i suspected that restraint wasn't going to continue into August. And, shockingly, I was right 😏

I picked up these three books when I went into the city recently, and it was lovely to wander among the shelves and floors of books on a warm afternoon.

📚 The first book on my list was Small Boat by Vincent Delecroix. This book somehow slipped under the radar for me, so I'm so glad Lisa @numberslady_reads shared it on her page for Workd Refugee Day.

📚 The Mercy Step by Marcia Hutchinson was shortlisted for the Women's Prize this year, and I've seen nothing but wonderful reviews for it. I particularly remember Gemma @books.with.boo reviewing the full longlist and saying that The Mercy Step was her favourite amongst them.

📚 I know there's been quite a frenzy about reading The Odyssey since Nolan's adaptation, particularly Emily Wilson's translation, but truly i have no great urge to read it or watch the film. The Iliad though, intrigues me a great deal so I decided to buy Wilson's translated edition of that instead.

What was the last book you purchased?
