A 34-year-old #Texas inmate is pleading with a judge for his release after allegedly being sexually assaulted by another inmate while three others held him down.

According to court documents, the attack happened inside the Jack Harwell Detention Center in McLennan County and was captured on surveillance video. Three inmates have since been charged with aggravated sexual assault and engaging in organized criminal activity, while a warrant has been issued for a fourth.

The victim’s attorney, Mona Keathley, claims the assault occurred after a female jailer falsely identified her client as a pedophile to other inmates. She also alleges that two other jailers witnessed the situation and ignored his screams and cries for help.

Keathley says her client is now experiencing severe emotional distress and remains in segregation without adequate access to medical care, hygiene products or phone calls to his family.

The man was awaiting sentencing on a drug charge for which prosecutors had already recommended probation. The district attorney’s office says it does not oppose his release with GPS ankle monitoring while he awaits sentencing.

Elite marathoners go to extreme lengths to chase top times, shelling out fortunes on fancy coaching and remote altitude camps to gain an edge.

Vinny Mauri spends his money on a Planet Fitness membership.

The 25-year-old who lives outside Youngstown, Ohio, is self-coached and logs most of his mileage on standard treadmills at his local gym for $24.99 a month.

“Didn’t even think those could go that fast!” one of Mauri’s Strava’s followers commented on a recent run.

Mauri’s unconventional approach is already paying off. He shocked the running world when he won Toledo’s Glass City Marathon in April, shattering the course record with a finish of 2 hours, 5 minutes and 54 seconds.

That’s 4:48 a mile for 26.2 miles—the fastest debut marathon ever recorded by an American. Last week, the treadmill phenom took on a much larger and tougher field at the Chicago Marathon and finished 10th, in 2:06:45.

After college, when he struggled to put his degree in biomedical engineering to good use, he set his sights on the marathon. The treadmill offered an escape from Ohio’s winters, but he quickly found other advantages.

His epic treadmill sessions have become legendary among running junkies. In June, he ran a full marathon on the treadmill in about 2:20. More recently, he ran a staggering 45 miles across two treadmill sessions in a single day. He’s used the apparatus for about 70% of his training mileage for last week's marathon.

“The weather’s always good inside,” Mauri said.

Get ready because we’re going on a Lambert family kindness tour! So excited to show you what we’ve been up to! ❤️

Even fairy tales don’t always have a happy ending. ❤️

These have been incredible years, filled with emotions, challenges, achievements and unforgettable moments.

Going through thousands of photos to find the right ones was an emotional journey. And I realised that, in the end, my most precious memories aren’t about races, World Championships or the Olympics. They’re about the people.

The ones I’ve shared it all with, from the toughest days to the greatest moments. The ones who taught me, supported me, made me laugh and helped me grow.

I’ve always believed that, beyond roles and organisations, we were all part of the same team, united by our passion for this sport.

Sölden is just around the corner, and for the first time in many years, things will feel different.

It’s not the ending I had imagined, but that doesn’t change what these years have meant to me.

And now? I’m looking ahead, genuinely curious and excited about what comes next. Because, as someone very special to me always says, everything happens for a reason.

Thank you to everyone who made this journey so special. The people and the connections remain, and that’s what truly matters. ❤️

#thankyouall

Is questioning the government now a crime in India? 🇮🇳

35–40 BJP corporators attacked citizens who have been continuously exposing corruption. During the MBMC General Body Meeting (Mahasabha), activists who were present to observe the proceedings were allegedly surrounded and attacked in what they describe as an attempted mob lynching — right in the presence of the police.

Even journalists and on-duty police personnel were reportedly attacked.

When citizens demand accountability, they deserve answers — not violence.

If those in power cannot tolerate questions, what does that say about the state of our democracy?
