Simplest way to understand your camera.

Forget memorizing numbers. Just understand what each setting does:

Aperture (f-stop)
Lower number = more light + more blurry background
Higher number = less light + more of your image in focus

Shutter speed
Lower number = more motion blur + more light
Higher number = freezes movement + less light

Image still too dark? Add ISO

ISO
Lower number = cleaner image + less light
Higher number = brighter image + more noise

Once you understand how these three work together, your camera starts making so much more sense.
