This zone might be my favorite in the Sierra Nevada. It feels surreal to climb high quality, ancient metamorphic limestone fused with iron and calcite in a batholith of granite. The geological marvel of this route had me screaming "ahhhh rocks! crystals! moss! slot canyons!" every couple of and I found myself frequently pulling out my photo to take pictures so that I could figure out what caused these strange formations and what minerals make them up.
I remember feeling so intimidated by this route amd thinking I would never do it when I started climbing in 2020. Its a nice full circle to get on it and feel like it was extremly chill with easy route finding.
