📍East Arête of Mount Humpherys ( 13,992')
Does anyone know the Paiute name for this peak?
I will never look at this meowntin that soars over the Bishop Skyline in the same way 🥹
Over 6k of elevation gain ( we didn't make it to the trailhead in my car) and over 2000 feet of extremely fun, sustained, exposed, and engaging 3rd to 5th class climbing. This was by far my favorite soloable route that I've climbed in the Sierra, and it led to my 2nd favorite summit view i've seen yet after Neenameeshee ( Mt. Sil)
There was SO much fun crack climbing- which is not typical in alpine climbs of the same grade. None of the 5th class sections felt insecure. They were littered with those perfect cracks that go from wide to small so literally anyone could find a perfect hand jam in them. Mega Classic line, entirely type 1 fun except for the heinous approach in seemingly endless desert sand which we called type 1.75. The perspective swap from being on Emmerson and Merriam earlier this season is spectacular. I didn't think much of Humphery's until I spent a night looking at it from the West side for the first time at the base of Merriam.Who knew the desert extended into the alpine so high? It really goes to show how powerful a rain shadow this peak creates. If you jump on the summit, you might get to 14k!

Light leaks on film create the atmosphere that I feel when reflecting on memories in my head. I forgot the back of my camera slightly opened till I got this roll back. Greatful the roll wasn't entirely destroyed.

📍North West Ridge of North Peak
Fun little romp + alpine lake dips with @lexiegritlefeld
We set off to do the Tuolomne alpine triple but bailed after hearing thunder getting off the summit of North Peak. We've been planning to do Coness together for a year and have been rained out every time 😆 This was closer than we've ever gotten. we will get up it someday!

📍North Booty of Merrium Peak
Party of 4 is a lovely way to enjoy an ultra classic climb in the Sierra Nevada.
The first two pitches left a bit to be desired but were followed by some excellent quality jams of all variety. I think i used almost every variety of jam I know, plus some stemming, chimney grovels. Beta calls for a whole lot of liebacking, but do yourself a jam those wide cracks 🥰

A few shots by @joelwantstogo from my tripple apparatus performance at
@easternsierraaerialarts "Wild" showcase last month ✨️ I had so much fun developing the story for this show and script writing with @gnuoylliw

My act was about destroying the masks I thought that I needed to feel accepted into society and instead embracing the weird, powerful and wild aspects of myself that were repressed being undiagnosed with audhd till I was 19. Running between flying pole, silks, and single chain felt like the perfect representation of how ive collected numerous creative hobbies over the years in order to scratch my need for novel experiences. Don't we all just love dopamine?
The last photo is a perfect depiction of having a meltdown from being overstimulated 😆😆😆

📍Mt Laurel
via the Mendanhall Coulair
This zone might be my favorite in the Sierra Nevada. It feels surreal to climb high quality, ancient metamorphic limestone fused with iron and calcite in a batholith of granite. The geological marvel of this route had me screaming "ahhhh rocks! crystals! moss! slot canyons!" every couple of and I found myself frequently pulling out my photo to take pictures so that I could figure out what caused these strange formations and what minerals make them up.
I remember feeling so intimidated by this route amd thinking I would never do it when I started climbing in 2020. Its a nice full circle to get on it and feel like it was extremly chill with easy route finding.

📍Mt. Emerson
First peak of the season, and easily one of my favorite Sierra Scrambles. Knife ridges, sustained 4th class with a couple moves of 5th is everything I want in a meowntin ⛰️
It was pretty wild seeing clouds form from literally nothing at the summit. I dont think ive ever experienced watching them form so close up :,) Kinda spooky, kinda magic.

Healing my inner child's need to mask to protect themself from judgment from being a little neurospicy weirdo growing up <3 Following my call to the wild by embracing all the aspects of myself that I once I once misunderstood
Tri apparatus act (flying pole, silks, chain) for @easternsierraaerialarts Wild showcase this past weekend.

Im mesmerized by the creativity our community has to offer. Im very proud of how this show came together ❤️
