The 36 Ni has twice the wear resistance of the 18 Ni after 10,000 abrasion testing cycles. The cost of the refret job is between $300 and $400 USD; paying more for the 36 Ni is highly competitive. For long-term testing, we will soon raise the tester cycles to 50,000.
