Tough love from one Michigan man to another!
Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Barger argued against a package of menopause protections, saying employers would just find a reason not to hire women instead. Then he admitted he would too. On the record. During a committee hearing. 🙄 To be clear, the bills would expand insurance coverage for treatment and certain workplace accommodations, with the same protections for pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Sir, I believe you just made the case FOR the bill. On the record. Great news, it passed committee 14 to 12. Maybe thanks to him openly discriminating - out loud. 😜
