I’ve been working on a new top pattern, and the first version was pretty good. But I just couldn’t leave it alone.
I started tweaking and tweaking, and somewhere along the way became fixated on every possible adjustment I could make to achieve sleeve perfection.
I tried simplifying it, because I think the best design solutions are often the simplest, but that wasn’t better. Then I went in the opposite direction, exploring more traditional and technical pattern cutting methods, before eventually circling back to almost where I started.
Six samples to discover that the first version was nearly there all along.
But I don’t think the other five were a waste of time. Sometimes you need to try all the options to understand why something works… and to know when to leave it alone.

Slowing going round and making sure no corner is forgotten about in our house! ✨🌸 what do you think of this quick nap time update featuring the worlds smallest plate?

A big away win! We keep working💙🔒💪🏻
