Circle - An Ambient Live Performance by Korean sound artist huh namhoon & ceramic artist Tōsei.
A circle begins with movement and returns to where it started, yet it is never exactly the same.
In this performance, two circular movements meet through time: the rotation of the pottery wheel, and the repetition of sound loops. Huh Namhoon builds evolving layers of ambient sound, while Tōsei transforms clay through the traditional East Asian art of wheel throwing.
The performance moves as a journey, from ambient music into a live pottery throwing demonstration, and back into sound again, completing a circle.
Witnessing clay thrown on the wheel is rare—a moment where technique, tradition, and intuition come together. This is a chance to experience traditional East Asian ceramic craftsmanship firsthand, a process rarely open to the public.
Join us for an intimate one-hour performance where sound, clay, and time become one.
