Berlin โ€˜26 | 3:54:33 ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช New PB We normally start these posts with an explanation of why we didnโ€™t hit the goalโ€ฆ and for me, that was 3:45. Usually itโ€™s the weather. The course. A tough day. But I want to offer a different perspectiveโ€ฆ these chicken legs are not ready for that level of performance. Simple as that! It wasnโ€™t the electrolytes. It wasnโ€™t the gels. My legs simply arenโ€™t quite ready yet for the level of effort required to run 3:45. But theyโ€™ve come a long way. These legs carried me over 42.2K faster than they have ever carried me before. But guysโ€ฆ I cramped in places I didnโ€™t even know I could cramp. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I lost around 10 minutes to stopping and somehow still came away with a 3:54:33 PB. But honestly? There isnโ€™t an ounce of disappointment in me. None. Because look at the bigger picture. Two years ago, I ran this same marathon in 4:25. Today, I ran it 30 minutes faster, Shut up!!! And I got to run a Major. Twice. With @adidasrunning alongside @tfneuberger. 3:45 wasnโ€™t there today. But 3:54 was. And Iโ€™m grateful for it. This is unfinished.
