Why did we stop making beautiful things?

The carved details. The rich colours. The care given to something as simple as a child’s rocking horse. There’s something about old-world craftsmanship that still makes us stop and stare.

Modern design has brought us comfort and convenience, but surely there’s still room for a little wonder.

Would you bring back this level of detail, or do you prefer today’s simpler designs? 👇

There’s no better feeling ❤️ Terima kasih banyak, Mandalika! You become more special with every passing year 🇮🇩

💬 do you set a yearly reading goal❓if so, are you on track?

i have spent the last few weeks trying to make reaching my reading goal even marginally possible (i was 16 books behind schedule) and i am now only 8 books behind schedule, which sounds a lot better!

i think autumn and winter do lend themselves well to lots of nights spent cosied up devouring your tbr, so i’m hoping to just fly through books naturally over the next 3 months without putting in too much of a shift now that i’ve clawed my way a little close to my goal

i do get the appeal of the lack of pressure of having no reading goal, but the reality is that i will keep buying books whether i’m reading them or not, so i’d like to make sure i’m doing my best to read a good chunk of them! also the dopamine hit of getting closer and closer to your reading goal is the best

this bookshelf houses many of my prized possession copies; i could honestly stare at it all day

Metallica Frontman Takes A Shot At Woke Entertainers. James Hetfield cuts through the noise and reminds us exactly what a concert experience should be about. It’s a refreshing perspective on keeping the focus where it belongs: on the love, the energy, and the heavy music. While some artists use the stage to push personal agendas, the Metallica frontman is keeping the focus on providing an escape from the outside world’s drama. It’s a bold stance that resonates with fans who just want to rock out without the political commentary. Is this the reality check the entertainment industry needs right now?
