Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s upcoming Ramayana has sparked a fresh debate after the release of ‘Mangal Rang’, with some listeners questioning what they describe as its “qawwali-like” sound. The song depicts Lord Ram and Maa Sita’s wedding celebrations.

Composed by AR Rahman, sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, and written by Kumar Vishwas, the track captures the couple’s marriage and their arrival in Ayodhya.

However, its musical treatment has drawn criticism from a section of social media users. Some compared the composition to Rahman’s ‘Kun Faya Kun’ from Rockstar, questioning whether that sound suited the epic’s setting. Others drew parallels with his Tamil song ‘Enna Solla Pogirai’. These are listeners’ comparisons, rather than an established classification of the track as qawwali.

The response has also included praise. Several viewers appreciated the grand visuals and Ranbir–Sai Pallavi’s chemistry, making the song a point of divided opinion ahead of the film’s release.

Hi! This year for Golden Demon I wanted to do a different kind of entry, i've been very much into Lotr in the last few months and one of the things that fascinate me the most are the Ents, they always did.
I wanted to pay tribute to that and I made this piece, I love doing gardening and playing with little plants :D

I hope you like it, it's a pretty different kind of project and it was fun, it was more like a traditional model making kind of scene.

I also did a couple more entries that I will share with you soon, they were just made for fun and to create something. In the end what I use Golden Demon for is to force me to do things and I wanted to squeeze that feeling and that's why I made 3 entries but just for my enjoyment.

Good luck to anyone, you guys put so much effort on them it's super inspiring.

Aamir Khan gets emotional as he reflects on the personal cost of his decades-long career. ❤️

Speaking at the Singapore International Film Festival, where he received the Screen Icon Award, the actor opened up about how his relentless dedication to filmmaking left him with regrets over missing precious moments with his children and loved ones.

Aamir revealed that the Covid-19 pandemic made him rethink his priorities. He admitted that while working passionately on a project is understandable, being obsessed with work for decades can come at the cost of relationships. As he reflected on his children growing up and becoming adults, the actor struggled to hold back his tears and apologised to the audience before continuing.

"It's okay to work like a madman, completely obsessed with what you're doing for one year, two years, five years. But if it goes on for 30 years, I mean, you've lost your relationships. Your kids have grown up; they're adults now. So I felt a deep sense of loss," he said.💔🥺
