55-Year-Old Man Escapes Unhurt As Train Crashes Into His Car At PWD Railway In Lagos

A 55-year-old man escaped without inj¥ries after a train crashed into his Honda car at the PWD railway crossing in Lagos on Friday morning.

The collision involved a train heading towards Agege and the man’s car, which was extensively d@maged in the incident.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said its operatives, alongside security personnel, rescued the driver and cleared the wrecked vehicle from the railway tracks, allowing the train to continue its journey.

LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, urged motorists to exercise caution around railway crossings and never attempt to cross the tracks when a train is approaching or in motion. He emphasised that complying with railway safety rules is essential to preventing accidents and protecting lives.
