MY THOUGHTS
I genuinely had to look twice at this one.
Finding châteaux with this level of architectural detail, extraordinary outbuildings and beautiful grounds, without spending several million euros, is becoming harder and harder.
And then along comes this one. €1.5 million. Quite extraordinary.
Those wrought-iron gates, the tree-lined approach, beautifully carved wood panelling, marble fireplaces, that staircase and even a moat!
But what I love most is the entire architectural ensemble. There is just so much character here, and so much worth preserving.
Of course, renovation is needed, and an estate of this scale is no small undertaking. But with approximately 16 hectares (almost 40 acres) near Vendôme, I think this is a rather special find.
