The next generation of the Ambani family took centre stage as Reliance Jio marked a historic milestone in Mumbai on Thursday, October 15, ahead of what is set to become India’s biggest-ever initial public offering (IPO). Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani were part of the next-generation leadership entrusted with taking Jio Platforms public, marking a significant chapter in the business empire founded by their grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani. Akash and Isha also addressed the IPO announcement event, outlining Jio’s journey and future ambitions. The upcoming IPO is expected to raise as much as ₹30,213 crore, surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s ₹27,870 crore offering in 2024. Jio has fixed its price band at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share, valuing the company at approximately ₹10.3 lakh crore at the upper end. Public subscription will open on October 21 and close on October 23. During the event, Isha Ambani shared an interesting story about how Jio’s journey began. She recalled struggling to submit a college assignment because of poor internet connectivity in Mumbai around 2009-10. The experience sparked conversations with her brother Akash about why India lacked the digital connectivity available in Western countries. Akash, who serves as Jio Platforms’ Managing Director, highlighted the company’s technology capabilities, 5G infrastructure and ambitions to capture opportunities in India’s growing digital economy. Veteran banker Uday Kotak described the upcoming IPO as a testament to the next generation of Reliance’s leadership, particularly Akash and Isha, while acknowledging Mukesh Ambani’s guidance. The occasion also carries historical significance. Nearly five decades after Dhirubhai Ambani took Reliance Industries public in 1977, his grandchildren are helping lead another landmark moment for the conglomerate. With over 53 crore subscribers and a record-breaking public offering approaching, Jio’s IPO represents both a major financial milestone and a generational transition in one of India’s most influential business families.
What an incredible night with @animationisfilm. Seeing the first two episodes of Knights of Guinevere on a screen that big changed something in me. It looked and sounded even more beautiful than I expected (and it was already beautiful?! absolutely blown away) and I'm so glad I could experience this with some of the crew, my friends, fans, and even my ma who flew in from the east coast! Thank you @morganaignis for organizing such a memorable event for everyone involved. I have more pics, will share at a later time, but just wanted to say THANK YOU AGAIN for watching episode 2 and for showing up. Thanks @glitch_prod for the support. THANK YOU KOG TEAM FOR BEING THE BEST! <3 Styled by @angelaqehaja in @annakikiofficial Makeup @charismaraye Hair styling @jenelleno.5 Hair cut/color @phases #knightsofguinevere #animationisfilmfest

The winners of the 2026 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition have been revealed, and nature really knows how to put on a show. Selected from a record-breaking 65,403 entries across 121 countries and territories, this year's winning photographs capture everything from tiny creatures to powerful moments in the wild. Italian photographer Federico Veronesi received the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2026 title for The Aftermath, a moving image of an elephant mother carrying her deceased calf in Namibia. Young photographer Oscar Whitfield also earned recognition for Labour of Love, capturing a dung beetle hard at work in Zimbabwe. The photograph of the dead puma was awarded for exposing wildlife persecution, not celebrating the animal's death. The image raises awareness about illegal hunting and the need to protect these animals. Wildlife Photographer of the Year is developed and produced by the Natural History Museum, London. Want to see these incredible photographs in person? Tickets for the exhibition are available through the Natural History Museum's website. 📸 Credits: Wildlife Photographer of the Year / Natural History Museum, London.
