Caren Hyde

Johannes Kjarval (1885-1972). Icelandic painter and painter of Iceland. Boy, could he paint moss! And so much more. You can see how his experience of the Icelandic landscape infiltrated his figurative work ( and this is evident in other Icelandic figurative and abstract artists too) . Wonderful artist and a fabulous museum in Reykjavik dedicated to his work.
This year's Birthday art book.
