SHE’S HERE 🥹📙

It’s publication day for “The Philosophy of Perfume” and she’s on sale NOW!

What. A. Ride. Early copies sent to media have gone down a storm and to think that industry friends and mentors have actually read the book and liked it is wild.

Now it’s time to be my own PR. If you have ever enjoyed my content and writing; if you’ve ever bought and loved a perfume or candle from my recommendations; if you’ve ever come to my page for some escapism and enchantment while the world burns around you; if you or someone you know loves perfume and would like to learn more in a fun, un-intimidating and practical way… PLEASE BUY A COPY (and write a review! 🙏)

It’s only £12.99 and it’s everywhere right now, from major retailers such as Waterstones and Amazon to independent platform Bookshop.org and many small bookstores including my locals @barnesbookshop & @sheenbookshop. 🔗All the links are in my bio.

What’s the book about? Crop rotation in the 14th Century. Just kidding. It’s a warm and welcoming introduction to the origins of perfume and how it’s evolved over the eras (swipe for a sneak peek at one of my favourite pun-tastic headlines). You’ll learn how our noses smell and how ingredients are extracted, how perfumers work and why nobody can tell you that your opinion on a fragrance is wrong, plus how to choose and shop for scent without getting a screaming migraine. It’s written in the same way I speak on screen (minus the swearing). I do hope you love it.

Thank you to my gang and fam, as per my tribute, for being true cheerleaders and showing up with full hearts and support ropes.

Thank you so much to Molly and Alison at @bl_publishing who asked me to author this book to join their “Philosophy Of” collection, along with Anya, Gary and Maria who made the whole process so happy.

Thank you to our new Lord of Chaos @richard.e.grant for reading an early manuscript in one single sitting and writing this brilliant acknowledgment for the back cover.

And thank you so much to those who pre-ordered a copy months ago. Your little book is on its way!

Today, I’m a published author. Time to pop some champs🥂
