When your kickstart bike won’t start...

My XR200R has been a little stubborn lately. It’ll start and run great, but every now and then after I shut it off, it refuses to start back up. I haven’t had time to properly dig into it yet—

Luckily, a pop start usually gets me out of a sticky situation.

Does it have compression? When my pison was worn out it has never stared with the kick starter

When you kick start the XR , does it have a compression release lever ? When bump starting, try using 2nd or 3rd gear. I have a 2000 XR 400.

This model xr had a problem with the CDI where once it heats up real good it doesn't like to start

I’ve never tried this or been in this situation, but I’m sure it’s in my future 😅 Was cool seeing you get it started this way!
