Thirty-one years ago today, I took my incredible Queen on our very first date.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was rocking my stylish GUESS jeans and matching shirt, convinced I looked pretty good. 😎 We headed to the movies and watched The Net, back when Sandra Bullock had us all wondering if the internet was about to take over the world.

Neither of us could have imagined what would come next.

That one date turned into a lifetime of memories. Thirty-one years later, we’ve built a marriage, raised two amazing sons (now one is married and the other is engaged), weathered life’s wild storms, celebrated its victories, and continued choosing each other through every season.

It’s funny how a simple night at the movies can change the entire course of your life.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Happy “first date” anniversary, Andrea. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I’d still put on those GUESS jeans, pick you up with butterflies in my stomach, and hope you’d say yes.
