💔 The world lost one of its brightest lights, and our hearts are absolutely shattered. We had the incredible privilege of getting to know @rjmitte over the past year through one of our best friends, @benbrucato, and what a gift he was. Yes, we knew him from one of our favorite shows, Breaking Bad, but the human we got to know was so much more extraordinary than we could have ever imagined. RJ loved our animals so deeply. He wanted to meet every single one, from our disabled babies to the ones running freely through the pasture. We’ll never forget watching him try to help Diesel walk through the yard, even while being rocky on his own two feet. 🥹 That was RJ. His heart was just that big. He didn’t only have a successful acting career, he was also endlessly curious, brilliant, hilarious, and relentlessly optimistic. The glass wasn’t half full for RJ. It was always full. He had a solution for everything and a mind that seemed to operate on a level the rest of us could only dream of. I called him the walking ChatGPT. ❤️ When we got the call earlier today, our world collapsed all over again. It hurts like hell that someone who brought so much light into this world is no longer here to share it. We are so grateful that our paths crossed, that we got to know the human behind the talent, and that we had the honor of calling him our friend. We know some pretty amazing babies are greeting RJ in heaven today. He’s in good company, but he should still be here with us. For decades and decades. 💔 Please hold his family and friends close in your thoughts and prayers. The world feels a little darker without you, RJ. We hope you knew just how much you mattered. And to anyone out there who is struggling, please know that you don’t have to carry it all alone. The world needs you here, even on the days when it doesn’t feel that way. If you need someone to listen, please reach out. If we can make life even a little easier for you, we want to try. You matter more than you know. If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 for support in the U.S. ❤️
