Compton Bay has been on my photography bucket list for a long time.

The Isle of Wight is one of my favourite places, so getting to photograph Laura & Sam’s pre-wedding shoot here felt pretty special.

The forecast looked great.

The drive over was calm.

Then we got out of the car at the cliffs... and the wind decided to make an entrance. 🌬️😂

Poor Laura & Sam barely had a chance to take it all in before we were all laughing at hair flying everywhere and trying not to get blown into the sea.

Once we realised the wind wasn’t going anywhere, there wasn’t much we could do except laugh and get on with it.

Looking back through these photos now, I wouldn’t change a thing. They capture exactly what the evening felt like.

Laura & Sam, thank you for trusting me, embracing the unexpected and throwing yourselves into it.
