Low Post Scoring

Bigs must be able to dominate the paint! Modern bigs do play outside in, but overseas in Europe you see still traditional style post up opportunities for wings and bigs!!

To score effectively out the low post you must have a good base and balance! I use the phrase “Low and Slow” when teaching bigs how to be physical and still stay on balance! Patience is key, take your time and feel the defender before making any moves. Read the defense! Lastly, ball security! Keep the ball high and protect it with your body!

Shot options include jump hooks, fadeaways, up and under finishes, and thunderous dunks!! Work on your game youngsters and young bigs polish up that block work! You will need it!!
