SOLD! 11x14” sumi on washi. Qin Ming, or Hekirekika Shinmei in Japanese, was the commander in chief of the troops in Qingzhou Prefecture. The Liangshan Bandits had captured Qin Ming during a battle, got him drunk and tried to convince him to join with them but he refused. However while he drunkenly slept they stole his armor and horses and raided Quingzhou. Unbeknownst of what had happened, Qin Ming returned home in the morning only to find that he had been exiled from Quingzhou because the people believed the raiders to have been Qin Ming and his men. The governor informed him that his wife and family had already been executed and then showed his his wife’s decapitated head and troop began hailing arrows at him. Qin Ming fled and with no where to turn, joined with the Liangshan Bandits.
