One of the highlights of our time in Brazil was seeing the very first container of the 26/27 crop being loaded.

These trips are a great way for roasters to see what happens the journey the coffee goes through before it reaches its final destination.

Before a single bag goes into a container, every lot has been received, sampled, cupped, graded, rested, milled, sorted, often stored for a while, bagged, weight-checked, documented and prepared for export. The dry mill is where months of work from producers come together with an incredible amount of precision and care.

Spending time at origin isn’t just about visiting farms. It’s about understanding every step of the journey, working closely with our partners, checking quality firsthand, and making sure the coffees arriving in the UK are exactly what we cupped and selected.

Seeing that container door close with one of the roasters who will receive those coffees was a pretty special moment.

We can’t wait for it to arrive!
