When Rich asked me to help him find models for the photowalk, Katherine popped into my head. She is a theme park performer, and has modeled for a styled wedding for me before. While she has been caught saying, “I’m not a model” Katherine hits her poses with ease and precision.

She was modeling on Rich’s side of the room, so I traded him for about fifteen minutes. He went over to shoot Ruana’s Sandworm and I was able to snag some shots of Katherine.

She’s a theme park performer, painted by Mandi, and she moves like someone who has spent years making a costume look effortless. Every mark, right on time, over and over.
Long exposures, one strobe, two colored lights. Somebody counts, everybody shoots at the same time. There’s no taking turns with a trigger, so the whole room has to work together or nobody gets anything.
