Metal springies
220L x 150H x 20D cm, size variable
What if the concept of time were non-linear, indicating that it is not a linear progression but a complicated, interwoven fabric? This perspective illustrates that all temporal moments — past, present, and future — are interrelated and concurrently accessible. The times formed the shapes that metaphorically restrict the spaces, transitioning from one portal to another, resulting in an infinite web.
This artwork references the endless traces of movement produced by an array of prefabricated metal springies in diverse configurations and orientations affixed to the wall. It questions the concepts of free will, predestination, and acceptance, demonstrating that foreknowledge of the future does not inherently undermine the significance of our choices but may rather alter our comprehension of them.
