We recently met up with the incredible @evagardner (The Mars Volta, P!nk, Gwen Stefani, Cher) at @seahorsesound and introduced her to the Scrolls Bass Odyssey!
In this clip, Eva has both the Drive and EQ channels engaged and is using the Vari-Freq control to dial in a punchy, gritty, full-frequency tone. And btw, that’s no ordinary bass Eva’s using. It’s a family heirloom. This 1962 Fender Precision Bass belonged to her father, Kim Gardner, bassist for the legendary English rock band The Creation. He converted it to fretless circa 1970.
