"Every time you have one of these storms there are some knuckleheads who want to take advantage... to try to break in, loot, steal things." "Do not do it. Do not even try it." Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier puts potential looters on notice as Hurricane Isaias closes in on the Gulf Coast. With evacuations underway, Uthmeier warns that anyone attempting to exploit the storm by breaking into homes or businesses could face heightened penalties during the state of emergency.

Not quite the Swiss trip I had in mind. But I guess life doesn’t always go as planned. Luckily, this is not a goodbye to hockey, but rather a see you later 👋🏼❤️‍🩹 Usually my posts are all fun and more or less the highlights of my life, but this one is the complete opposite. After a week of living the Swiss bliss, playing the sport I love with a new team that quickly felt like home, enjoying the sun and just living the dream life of a pro hockey player, I tore my ACL in the third game of the season. In my 20+ years of hockey, I’ve never left a game until now. I’ve barely missed any games due to sickness, so I guess you could say I’ve been lucky in that sense. It’s now been two weeks since my surgery, and instead of fighting for a spot on the Worlds roster or in the PWHL, I’m learning how to walk again. It’s still hard to put all my thoughts into words, and I know it’ll take some time and tears to process it all. Even if it feels like life has pushed my dreams aside for now, there are things nobody can take away from me: the people I’ve got in my life and my attitude. I don’t know the purpose of all this yet, but I know I’ll come back stronger. Huge thanks to everyone for all your kind messages and support. It means more than you know and just shows that I still have some of the best things hockey has given me: friends and SISU 🫶🏼 Swipe to see the recap from the past two weeks👉🏼 My first postgame run in Switzerland and OMG look at the view! Again, just amazed by the view and the weather! Not a bad prepractice coffee😋 Ready to play Still thinking ”maybe it’s not too bad” ”It can’t be that bas cuz it doesn’t even hurt” -me MRI fit 10/10 Me after getting the news😢 Right after the surgery in my private hospital room💁🏼‍♀️ Not a bad first dinner at the hospital, 5x⭐️! My first rehab ”exercise” (the machine did all the work) Ready to go ”home” My view for the first two weeks, not bad Finally got out of the house! First shopping trip✅ Yesterday my physio taught me a new walking technique🚶🏼‍♀️ This is me practicing today🚶🏼‍♀️might need a few walking lessons from @jennikarjalainen_
