Chapter 36: A Life in Bloom. 🌸✨ And baby girl is in CONTROL! 36 years of lessons, blessings, growth, grace, and becoming. I’m grateful for every season that shaped me, even the ones I didn’t understand at the time. This year feels different. I’m walking into this chapter with a deeper understanding of who I am, what I deserve, and the life I’m intentionally creating. One thing I know for sure: God has given me the power to choose how I show up in this world. This next chapter is about ABUNDANCE. Abundance in love, peace, health, happiness, purpose, wealth, and the ability to be a blessing to others. I’m dreaming bigger, trusting God deeper, living more intentionally, and making room for everything He has prepared for me. SASTOJCI biskvit: -4 jaja -200 g šećera -300 g glatkog brašna -100 ml vode vode -70 ml suncokretovog ulja -40 ml mlijeka -1 žličica praška za pecivo -2 vanilin šećera mliječni pretop: -500 ml mlijeka -270 ml slatkog vrhnja -2 žlice šećera šlag krema: -500 ml slatkog vrhnja -3 žlice šećera u prahu -3 vrećice učvršćivača za šlag (Sahnesteif) domaći karamel: -230 g šećera -35 g maslaca -330 ml slatkog vrhnja -prstohvat soli -Po potrebi još malo vrhnja za rjeđu konzistenciju POSTUPAK Jaja, šećer i vanilin šećer istući pjenjačom ili mikserom oko 5 minuta dok smjesa ne postane svijetla i pjenasta. Dodati vodu, ulje i mlijeko te kratko promiješati. Brašno pomiješati s praškom za pecivo, prosijati u smjesu i lagano sjediniti. Sve izliti u namašćen i pobrašnjen kalup i peći u prethodno zagrijanoj pećnici na 180 °C, otprilike 25–35 minuta, odnosno dok čačkalica ne izađe čista. Dok se biskvit peče mlijeko, slatko vrhnje i šećer pomiješati dok se šećer potpuno ne otopi. Još mlak biskvit viljuškom nabosti i ravnomjerno preliti mliječnom smjesom. Ostaviti da se ohladi, a zatim staviti u hladnjak najmanje sat vremena, idealno preko noći, kako bi biskvit upio mlijeko. Hladno slatko vrhnje miksati sa šećerom u prahu i učvršćivačem dok se ne dobije čvrsta, glatka krema. Odvojiti 3 žlice kreme za završnu dekoraciju, a ostatak ravnomjerno rasporediti preko ohlađenog biskvita. Staviti u hladnjak na još sat vremena. Za to vrijeme šećer staviti u posudu i otapati na srednjoj vatri dok ne dobije lijepu jantarno-smeđu boju. Dodati maslac i miješati dok se ne otopi. Zatim pažljivo, postupno dodavati slatko vrhnje jer će smjesa jako zapjeniti. Dodati i prstohvat soli. Harrison Mevis went from having the opportunity to be the hero to getting CUT by the Los Angeles Rams after their heartbreaking 37-34 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills. Mevis missed a 50-yard field goal earlier in the game before having his potential game-winning 48-yard attempt blocked in overtime. After everything Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense did to keep Los Angeles alive, watching their kicker fail to deliver in such a massive moment was absolutely brutal. What makes this situation even crazier is how quickly everything fell apart for Mevis. Just last season, he was making clutch kicks and helping the Rams win important games, but this year has been a completely different story. He made just five of his nine field goal attempts through five games, and Sean McVay made it clear after Monday night’s loss that the kicking situation wasn’t good enough. Less than a day later, reports emerged that the Rams were moving on from him. The NFL is genuinely a ruthless business, especially when you’re a kicker. One moment you’re being celebrated for winning games, and the next you’re looking for another team because you couldn’t deliver when it mattered most. Mevis certainly wasn’t the only reason Los Angeles lost, but his struggles became impossible to ignore.
