Honestly my PhD made me so severely depressed, I had to take so much time out and wanted to ☠️ myself, I was so miserable. I honestly didn’t think I’d get through it or even be able to even look at my thesis again. Took me 6 years in the end but passed my viva in January and graduated last month ❤️

I feel so seen!!! This is my story!!! A whole year on and off leave. Delayed writing my thesis/defending by over a year. Turned down an opportunity to write a review article...But eventually came back, wrote a manuscript on my (mostly negative) data, wrote my thesis and now I'm defending this month and I've submitted revisions to the journal. I did NOT think I'd make it here😭
