Samuel Franklin

5.9.87 - 7.10.26

After 15 years battling with Ocular Melanoma Sam died on the 7th October at 7.07pm.

He is a much loved father, husband, son, brother and a great friend to so many.

It still doesn't feel real that he isn't here with us cracking a joke and making us smile, but Sam chose to reach for joy always and we will continue to do that in his memory.

For all those that have followed his cancer journey online I hope he has showed you what living with cancer really looked like. It never defined him and he remained hopeful right until the end. Infact he was so focused on living and squeezing every bit of joy out of life he didn't even record his last post - something I am sure he intended to do!

For those following in the ocular melanoma community, do not lose hope. We pray a cure is just around the corner for you 🙏🏻

Sam taught us that tomorrow is not guaranteed so we must choose to live big and beautiful lives

May his memory forever be a blessing. 🤍

**** We will be collating a book of memories for his children to cherish.
Please submit: relationship to Sam, stories, memories and pictures to samfranklin.memories@hotmail.com . Deadline 28th October. ****
